Important notes for all C-Max models

  • Always replace a fuse with one of the exact same amperage.
  • Hybrid models (C-Max Hybrid and Energi) have additional high-voltage fuses and safety systems. Never attempt to service high-voltage components yourself.
  • If a fuse blows repeatedly, there is usually an underlying short circuit that must be diagnosed.
  • The fuse box cover usually has a diagram printed on it — use it as the primary reference for your specific vehicle.
  • For exact fuse assignments, always cross-reference with your owner’s manual, as minor variations exist between gasoline, diesel, and hybrid versions.

Regularly checking and replacing blown fuses can prevent bigger electrical problems and keep your Ford C-Max running reliably.
