Mercedes-Benz E-Class Tire and Wheel Sizes: All Generations

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been one of the most important luxury mid-size sedans in automotive history, spanning multiple generations since the early 1990s. Each generation introduced new wheel and tire size options to match evolving performance, comfort, and aesthetic standards. Understanding the correct tire and wheel specifications for your specific E-Class generation and trim is essential for maintaining ride quality, safety, handling characteristics, and preserving the vehicle’s TPMS calibration. This guide covers every generation of the E-Class with complete OEM tire and rim specifications.

Important Notes on Fitment and Replacements
- All E-Class generations share the 5×112 bolt pattern — a Mercedes-Benz standard
- Center bore is consistently 66.6 mm; always use hub-centric rings when fitting aftermarket wheels
- Wheel offset (ET) varies: fitting wheels outside the OEM ET range can cause suspension wear and handling issues
- TPMS sensors are standard from W211 facelift (2006+) onwards; replacement tires must be compatible with the sensor frequency (433 MHz on European models)
- Run-flat tires (MOExtended or RFT) are factory-fitted on many W212 and W213 variants — do not replace with standard tires unless a spare wheel is added
- Always verify the tire placard located on the driver’s door jamb for the exact recommended pressures and sizes for your specific build
- AMG models use staggered setups — front and rear tires are not interchangeable
- Winter tire minimum recommended size for W213: 225/55 R16 or larger on 7J x 16 steel wheels
